Patrick Watson scoop Polaris Music Prize
Patrick Watson have fought off stiff competition to win the Canadian version of the Mercurys, The Polaris Music Prize.
In contention were the likes of Arcade Fire, The Dears, Feist and Junior Boys.
Although indeed fronted by a young chap by the name of Watson, they’re a proper four-piece band who’ve released two albums – 2003’s Just Another Ordinary Day, and the one that’s made them $20,000 richer, Close To Paradise.
