Kelela shares second single from upcoming album

American R&B artist Kelela has released a second single 'linknb' from her new album accompanied by a music video directed by Mischa Notcutt.

New avatar pays homage to her early days in the Washington D.C. indie scene, as well as her transition to club music and electric production. It features other artists throughout such as PinkPantheress, A.K Paul, and Fousheé.

''This album finds solace in confronting". Kelela stated. "I don't want the music to be a distraction from what's really going on in the world, I want it to make sense in this crazy moment while helping people get in touch with the beauty and joy they're also experiencing''.

The video directed by Mischa Nottcutt, places Kelela in a "city dreamscape transforming a solitary journey into a meditation on self-discovery and renewal". Notcutt served as her creative director before when the two previously collaborated for Kelela's Take Me Apart album in 2017.

This is her first studio album since her three year hiatus, her live album released in 2025 In The Blue Light hit #5 on the Contemporary Jazz chart and #20 on the Jazz Albums chart.
