Other voices: songs from the pirates...
Ex-Phantom spinner Jenny Huston gets the second of two new yoof-programming DJ positions at 2FM
Not content with giving the midnight to two slot to Cormac Battle, 2FM have snapped up his former Phantom FM colleague Jenny Huston who'll be reprising her Girlie Show, Monday to Thursday from 7.30pm to 8pm.
Huston will also be on every Sunday from 8 to 9 commencing the week after Witnness.
Talking to Hot Press, the Canadian said, "It's all happened incredibly fast. I got a phone call last Wednesday asking for a voice sample, I sent it in on Thursday and got another call offering me the slot on Friday!"
Whatever about crime, it seems that piracy definitely pays.
"Yeah," Huston laughs, "it was strange starting the same night as Cormac. Somebody at 2FM was obviously a Phantom fan!"
