Oisin Leech announces homecoming show at Meath's Solstice Arts Centre
Tickets for the hometown show are on sale now.
Irish singer-songwriter Oisin Leech has announced he will be bringing his Cold Sea tour to his hometown in Navan, Meath, on November 30.
Leech will play the Solstice Arts Centre in what will be the final stop on the tour that's seen him play to a sell-out crowd in London, as well as Dublin and Belfast, amongst other gigs.
The last 24 months have been a busy period for the artist, who released his solo debut album, Cold Sea, only last year- he was invited to play the main stage at Glastonbury and also supported Tindersticks on tour.
The album features a string of contributions from American and Irish folk musicians, including M. Ward, Dónal Lunny, Róisín McGrory and Tony Garnier, a long-time member of Bob Dylan's touring band.
“We found this little abandoned schoolhouse from the 1800s. But it was warm, dry and wood-panelled, so the acoustics were great. And we literally borrowed gear from neighbours. Leech said in an interview with Hot Press."There’s a guy called Billy Robinson, who tour manages Clannad. He had this beautiful 1970s U87 microphone, so we called to him that morning."
Tickets for the gig are on sale now and can be purchased on the Solstice Arts Centre website.
