Noel Gallagher, The 1975, Bat For Lashes & Joey Bada$$ among Electric Picnic additions
The Stradbally line-up has just become even tastier!
The Electric Picnic have added some major new acts. From the top they are: Noel Gallagher’s Higher Flying Birds, The 1975, Nas, The Shins, Bat For Lashes, Catfish And The Bottlemen, Local Natives, Joey Bada$$, John Talabot, DJ EZ, Toots & The Maytals, Editors, Mura Masa, Kano, Kevin Morby, Shit Robot, Jessy Lanza, Little Simz, Whitney, Frankie Cosmos, Lemaitre and Pumarosa.
Noely G is currently in the studio with multiple Ivor Novello Award-winner David Holmes working on a new album, which may or may not be ready to rock ‘n’ roll before his first Picnic appearance.
He’s also co-written ‘The Ballad Of The Accidental Hipster’ with Paul Weller for the new Monkees album, Good Times. Joining him on the credits are Neil Diamond, XTC’s Andy Partridge, Harry Nilsson, Weezer’s Rivers Cuomo, Death Cab For Cutie’s Ben Gibbard and Adam Schlesinger of Fountains Of Wayne.
Meanwhile, Joey Bada$$ is one of the hip hop acts who’ve had their New York shows pulled following the recent shooting at a T.I. gig.
The rapper claimed on Twitter that the NYPD had pulled the plug on his June 3 visit to the Germecy but deleted it when a Department spokesman insisted that this wasn’t the case.
