Nick Cave announces global streaming gig at Alexandra Palace
The performance includes rare tracks that many fans will be hearing for the first time.
Nick Cave's performance in London's iconic Alexandra Palace will be streamed globally on July 23.
The film, titled Idiot Prayer, was shot this June and features Nick Cave performing solo at the piano. Cave plays songs from his extensive back catalogue, including rare tracks that many fans will be hearing for the first time. The 90-minute performance spans the breadth of Cave's career, back to early Bad Seeds and Grinderman up to the most recent Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds album. Though the performance itself isn't live, the film will be streamed as a live performance and will not be able to view online following the event.
Idiot Prayer was filmed by award winning cinematographer Robbie Ryan (The Favourite, Marriage Story, American Honey) in Alexandra Palace’s stunning West Hall. It was edited by Nick Emerson (Lady Macbeth, Emma, Greta).
Tickets are available for the UK/EU timezone performance here.
