New issue of Hot Press out today!
We meet The National, Ireland's top MMA fighters, Little Green Cars and Primal Scream...
In the new issue of Hot Press (out now) we catch up with Cincinnati rockers The National as new album Trouble Will Find Me hits shelves. The band reveal they were schooled in the art of rock 'n' roll by none other than Bruce Springsteen and Michael Stipe!
We also chat to Other Voices series creator Philip King, who casts an eye back over an amazing 10 years, which saw live Dingle performances from the aforementioned National, as well as Amy Winehouse, Laura Marling, Florence + The Machine and The xx, to name but a few..!
Elsewhere, we meet two of Ireland's exciting MMA prospects, Cage Warriors Welterweight champ Cathal Pendred and Ultimate Fighting Championship favourite, Conor McGregor. The two Dubliners discuss their expertise and explain how they got involved in the skilled world of MMA.
Elsewhere, we meet Dublin act Little Green Cars, who discuss debut album Absolute Zero, and Noah & The Whale frontman Charlie Fink who chats about the back-to-basics approach the band took while making latest release, Heart Of Nowhere.
We also catch up with Primal Scream, Laura Marling, Ghostpoet and British Sea Power, while over in Critical Mass we've reviewed albums by Deerhunter, Daft Punk, Neon Neon and She & Him.
