New Femmepop Single Recalls The Breeders '90s Sound
Cork songstress Femmepop releases debut single 'Beautiful Boy'
'Beautiful Boy' is the first single to be lifted from Femmepop's debut album From A Girl Who Never Sleeps which is due for release this summer.
The Cork born singer (real name Margaret O'Sullivan) now bases herself in London where she's already played some of the cities coolest venues including The Barfly and The Windmill, and already boasts a Number 2 position in a recent Japanese chart.
Hot Press very much likes what we've heard so far, with the Corkonian's alt-rock style drawing comparisons to The Breeders, Sonic Youth and early PJ Harvey. Self recorded and produced, Femmepop's Kick EP also features Chris Geddes of Belle & Sebastian playing on the title track.
Check out the 'Beautiful Boy' single and the Kick EP below.
Both are available now to purchase over on iTunes
