Neon Atlas - Absolute Magnitude
Cork man makes magnetic debut album
Recorded over nine months in Cloyne, Co. Cork, Absolute Magnitude is the debut album from pop rockers Neon Atlas. The brainchild of songwriter Kieran Ring, his nine-track opus oozes with Tim Wheeler-like melodies (‘Automatic’) and Weezer-esque riffs (‘Juniper’).
Indeed, the LP as a whole shines thanks to a super-slick production courtesy of former Cyclefly man Ciaran O’Shea. LP highlight ‘Apple Tree (Out Of Time)’ packs plenty of punch and boasts satisfyingly meaty guitars, while the string-laden ‘Demon Days’ points towards an interesting future for all involved.
Key Track: 'Apple Tree (Out of Time)'
