Neil Hannon to write musical
Divine Comedy's Neil Hannon is set to dabble in theatre, and for The National Theatre in London no less.
Hannon, whose 2007 is already going rather well having collaborated with Air and won the Choice Music Prize, is currently working on a new musical for the South Bank theatre.
The musical is believed to be based on Arthur Ransome's novella Swallows And Amazons, first published in 1930.
He'll be working on the project in between his festival dates, which already includes Salamanca Festival, Spain (15 June); Summer Sundae Festival, Leicester, England (10 August) and Connect Festival, Scotland (1 September).
