My Chemical Romance release short film with voices of Billie Eilish and Phoebe Bridgers
The video was created to accompany 'The End', the opening track of the band's third studio album, which celebrated its 20th anniversary last week.
My Chemical Romance, together with artist Lauren Tsai, have created a short film featuring the voices of Billie Eilish, Phoebe Bridgers, Hideo Kojima, and John C. McGinley. The film, titled 'Prelude to The End', was created for 'The End', the opening track of The Black Parade.
The emo-rock band released a reissue of the LP last week in honour of its 20th anniversary, available here.
'Prelude to the End' follows Astrid, a student at a boarding school with three ominous rules: Don't Get Hurt, No Delusions, and All Trash Is Taken Care Of. Astrid enters an alternate reality after falling down the garbage chute in search of her sketchbook.
Director Lauren Tsai voices Astrid herself, while Billie Eilish voices her friend and Phoebe Bridgers her sister. Hideo Kojima is her Japanese teacher and John McGinley is the intimidating dean.
The short film features My Chemical Romance's song 'The End' as well as Pascal Dusapin’s 'Flying River' violin concerto.
See 'Prelude to The End' below.
