Morrissey turns down Trinity College honour
Singer makes about-turn on Honorary Patronage
It's rare that Morrissey's humility gets the better of him, but we might have seen it happen.
The singer - and soon to be novelist - has turned down an Honorary Patronage at Trinity College, having initially seemed altogether enthusiastic about the idea.
A few months ago, he revealed that the ceremony would take place in October, and that he felt 'undeserving' of the accolade; now, it will no longer happen.
Who knows, once he's atop the bestseller charts he may feel differently...
