More? No-one's ever asked for more...
Just can't get enough? Low, The Clash, The Raveonettes, The Faint, The Datsuns and Johnny Cash (and that's only the tip of the iceberg, friends) ...feature on what has to be a record-breakingly good instalment of No Disco (tonight, N2, 11.15pm). Dig in
Didn't sufficiently indulge your gluttony over the holidays? An unusually jammed and amazing No Disco is in store (tonight, N2, 11.15pm) for music listeners just like you for whom eighteenth helpings are never enough.
New videos include a (fantastic, if the rumours are correct) new video from sublime Duluth timestretchers Low, who head to Dublin on the 31st; another from Jaga Jazzist (a "ten-piece Norwegian jazz collective who don't really sound that jazz", it sez here); another from drop-dead-cool new Danish surf-guitar fatalists The Raveonettes; another from this week's model in the huckster's showroom that is the "new" "rock" "revolution", The Datsuns; and another from - wait for it - only Johnny Cash, for astounding album track 'Hurt' from last year's The Man Comes Around.
Also featured is the first new Irish video of the year, from Dublin keyboard popsters Settler; an interview with 2002's heroic Doves; a remembrance of the Clash's much-missed maverick, Joe Strummer; a newie from The Faint, freshly arrived on the fabulous City Slang label (home, possibly relevantly and possibly not, of Lambchop); and yet another newie from Millionaire, one of several alter-ego projects of dEUS member Tim Van Haemel.
Last but not least, No Disco promise a little somethin'-somethin' from the "best band in the world" (their words), Teenage Fanclub. Bon appetit...
