Morcheeba announce Dublin show at Vicar Street
It will be the South London band's first Dublin headline show in 18 years.
Morcheeba have announced an upcoming show at Vicar Street on Monday, October 12.
The concert announcement follows the 2025 release of Escape the Chaos, the band's eleventh album. Morcheeba recorded part of the album in Dublin with producer and songwriter Alex O’Keefe (Bobbi Arlo).
Watch the visualiser for the album's lead single 'Call For Love' below.
"'Call For Love' is very grounding, musically and emotionally," multi-instrumentalist Ross Godfrey said in a statement. "The world is so confusing and complicated these days. An apocalypse is always on the horizon, both personal and global. It is comforting to take refuge in music and love with those close to us."
“This whole record is a process of trying to reconnect with what really matters, whether it’s what's in your heart or with the world, putting your feet on grass and feeling the earth beneath you. It’s about not being distracted by all the bullshit.”
Morcheeba was formed in 1995 by brothers Paul and Ross Godfrey and vocalist Skye Edwards, who met by chance at a South London party. Paul departed from the band in the mid-2010s, rendering Morcheeba a duo.
The band's stint at Vicar Street will be their first Dublin headline show in 18 years.
Tickets for the show will go on sale Friday, April 3, at 10am. You can sign up for pre-sale here.
