Newbridge electronic sensation Mmoths and local duo Young Wonder are among the acts just announced for Cork's Dirty Weekender in February...
"Nothing ever happens in January and February". Bullshit! We've already had Whelan's 'Ones to Watch 2013' and the First Fortnight festivals. We've seen Kendrick Lamar bring Vicar Street to it's knees, Ed Sheeran's Dublin takeover, Two Door Cinema Club at the O2, and only last night Toro Y Moi and Young Wonder rocked-out (albeit in a cool electronic fashion) at the Button Factory. January would appear to be the new July actually. Keeping things motoring on the live music front in February is the return of the Dirty Weekender to The Pavilion's in Cork.
Returning for it's third year, Dirty Weekender is placing the emphasis on showcasing some of the finest home-grown talent that the island has to offer including Mmoths, Young Wonder, Rest, Toby Kaar, Cian Finn, Stevie G, Bellyman and lots more.
The festival will take place from Thursday, February 14 - Sunday, February 17 at The Pavilion in Cork city. Pre-sale tickets are priced at €8 and are available from pavilioncork.com, tickets.ieand and The Pavilion Bar. Tickets on the door will be priced at €10.
Here's the full line-up of events.
