McEvoy launches craft trail
Singer, songwriter and composer Eleanor McEvoy is to launch a new guide to the South Wexford Craft Trail, at Kelly’s Resort Hotel in Rosslare
McEvoy, recently back from a tour of Australia where she promoted her recent Singled Out album, says she is delighted to launch the guide and to lend her support to those that make up the South Wexford Craft Trail. Indeed, as she now lives in the area, she can appreciate just what it is that makes place, and this place in particular, so important in pursuing one’s art.
The South Wexford Craft Trail was conceived with the aim of creating an opportunity to ‘meet the makers’ behind these successful enterprises. It is a collaborative project involving ten nationally-known crafts men and women– some native to the area, others from elsewhere in Ireland. A specially-produced Trail Guide takes the traveller through the rich and pastoral South Wexford countryside on a tour of small-scale studios where visitors are warmly welcomed by their owners.
The launch takes place tomorrow, April 14, at 8 pm.
