Max T. Barnes To Play Galway
Country dances his way there tonight, February 28.
Country music legend Max T. Barnes has announced a show at Monroe’s Live, Galway on Friday, 28 February.
The singer-songwriter is the composer of nine number one hits and is catching up on his father, the late Max D. Barnes, who wrote 24 number one hits in his time.
Some of the biggest names in country have sung Barnes-penned songs, such as George Jones, Willie Nelson, Johnny Cash and Tammy Wynette, to name a few.
Together with Nashville sensation Craig Curtis, Max will perform a night of his and his father’s greatest hits, which have been performed by country stars such as Kenny Rogers, Colin Raye and Vern Gosdin.
Irish country stars have also taken from the Barnes songbook, with Big Tom’s ‘You're Goin' Out The Same Way You Came In’ among their compositions to have been hits on this side of the pond.
Tickets, priced €20, are on sale now at [link]monroes.ie[/link]
