Madonna tops the charts

She may have provoked angry words from Deadmau5 and Paul Van Dyk this week but it doesn't seem to have an adverse effect on sales as Madonna's MDNA goes straight in at #1 on the Irish album chart.

This week's second highest newest entry goes to current Hot Press cover stars The Original Rudeboys, whose debut 'This Life' takes third spot, just behind French superstar DJ David Guetta's Nothing But The Beat, which climbs three places to #2.

All that shuffling means The Boss drops from the top of the mountain to fourth place with Wrecking Ball while Emeli Sandé completes the top five with Our Version Of Events. Adele, The Chieftains, Ed Sheeran, Lana Del Rey and Katy Perry round out the top ten, the latter's Teenage Dream leaping an impressive 20 spots up the list.
