Lullaby
Well-honed, honest, melodic loveliness
In a world where songs about bald robot-cowboy actors get Single Of The Fortnight, it’s a relief to hear some well-honed, honest, melodic loveliness. And no, that’s not a coded way of saying Starsailor are feeble-minded, bed-wetting types. But the Strokes ‘n’ Stripes obsessed hordes who refuse to recognise the inimitable beauty of James Walshe’s voice clearly are.“If you get high on life/Don’t leave me behind,” croons the fresh-faced frontman as a piano cascades up and down in the background and a guitar wails, banshee-style.
