'Lover, You Should've Come Over' makes Hot 100 list - 32 years after release
The late singer-songwriter originally released the track on his 1994 debut album Grace.
Jeff Buckley's 'Lover, You Should've Come Over' has entered the Billboard Hot 100 list 32 years after release.
The song currently stands at #97 on the list, achieving virality on platforms such as TikTok. The track also features in several films and tv shows released in the last few years, such as Miller's Girl, starring Jenna Ortega, and Netflix's Sex Education.
Additionally, HBO released the documentary film It's Never Over, Jeff Buckley last year, following the singer's life and career. The film will release in Irish cinemas next month.
The late singer-songwriter originally released the melancholy track on his 1994 debut album Grace. The son of American experimental musician Tim Buckley, he passed away in a drowning incident in 1997 at the age of 30.
His second and final album, Sketches For My Sweetheart The Drunk, was released posthumously.
'Lover, You Should've Come Over' has over 431 million streams on Spotify, making it his most popular release to date. During his lifetime, the singer was most well known for his cover of Leonard Cohen's 'Hallelujah'.
