Loaded

Not sure about this. The lyrics are good, the idea is simple and good and the backing suitably sparse, but it doesn’t send me rushing to hit ‘repeat’. It’s just a bit unremarkable. It was mixed in London by Strokes producer Gordon Raphael but it doesn’t really ever suggest a rise to Strokes levels of originality. Backing is just a bit too dull and lets down what you can clearly hear are good ideas.
