Live & Kicking: Sessions From Oblivion
As part of our live music special feature, we're taking a look at some of the most eagerly anticipated events coming up this year...
Sessions From Oblivion
Where: Online at RTE.ie & RTE2XM
When: Various dates
Who: N.O.A.H., Niamh Regan, Gerry Leonard, Mary Wallopers, Sorcha Richardson (more TBA)
What: Sessions from Oblivion was so successful in its first outing that RTE and RTE2XM are setting out with presenter Andrew Bass to air a 10-part series. Taking place on Mondays (RTE.ie) and Wednesdays (RTE2XM) at 7pm, the series boasts 20 new music acts across all genres. Every week an unlikely combination of two new artists of totally different music styles is captured playing live in the Ballroom of Oblivion (in truth, it’s the nightclub of Dunboyne Hotel). Additionally, a ‘Tips and Tricks’ segment will air, covering the business of music from creating to selling. Guests share three things they have learned that anybody interested in music or performing would find useful.
Make Sure To: Check out the most recent episode, featuring Vulfpynes, Louis Walsh and Ciaran Moran
Tickets: N/A. See rte.ie or the Sessions From Oblivion Facebook for details.
