LISTEN: Free Overhead, The Albatross download

They put in plenty of hard studio graft during the closing months of 2013 and Dublin instrumentalists Overhead, The Albatross are kicking off the new year by giving us a taste of their new music.

'Telekinetic Forest Guard' was recorded live on Dan Hegarty's 2fm show in Summer 2013. Renowned as one of the most exciting live acts in the country, the band manage to bottle that energy perfectly on the track. Hear it below.

Their debut LP is currently in the works, with the boys planning to take a short break from the studio later this month when they play Whelan's 'Ones To Watch' Festival, which takes place January 8 – 11 (click here for further details). It will be their first gig since they stormed Electric Picnic last September.
