Listen: Animal Collective release trippy new song ‘Golden Gal’

‘Golden Gal’ foreshadows the release of Animal Collective’s first album in four years, Painting With, which is due for release February 19.
The Baltimore band were notorious in the nineties for the part that LSD played in the making of their music and ‘Golden Gal’ certainly harks back to those psychedelic origins.
The accompanying music video, directed by Celeste Potter, is a technicolour treat that features an actual clip from Golden Girls. You can enjoy the song from their upcoming album below.
