Liam Gallagher goes straight to No. 1 in the Irish Charts
Released on October 6th, the younger Gallagher's debut album, As You Were has shot straight into the number one slot.
After receiving acclaim for his first solo effort since dissolving Beady Eye, Liam Gallagher has proven he is well capable of striking out on his own by enjoying a strong first week in the album chart. Moving past last week's Hot Press cover stars Picture This, whose eponymous debut reclaimed the number one slot last Friday, following three weeks in second, it is good news as the former-Oasis frontman prepares to play two shows in Dublin later this month.
Also making a real splash is the Donegal-duo, Little Hours, whose latest EP Too Much Patience gone right up to number four this week.
Elsewhere, The Script have risen to no. 5 and Dua Lipa holds onto her spot at 9, while the late-Tom Petty has moved down to 8 with Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers Greatest Hits.
