Liam Gallagher ends Lollopalooza set after 20 minutes

The former Oasis star apeared to storm off stage at the Chicago music festival mid-way through solo track 'Greedy Soul', leaving many fans devastated at his departure.

The singer had opened the night with Oasis hits ‘Rock ‘n’ Roll Star’ and ‘Morning Glory’, before airing new solo track ‘Wall of Glass’.

He then proceeded to walk off midway through 'Greedy Soul'.

While many fans took to social media to either denounce the singer, compare his actions with those of his brother Noel, or explain the move as 'Liam being Liam', the former Oasis star took to Twitter to give his own explanation:
