BABYRAT announce Irish tour

Cork "bitch-pop" band BABYRAT have announced a tour of Ireland in February and March of 2027.

The run will include stops at Limerick's Dolans Kasbah on February 23, followed by Galway's Róisin Dubh on the 24th, Dublin's The Grand Social on the 25th and Cork's Savoy on the 26th. To finish it off, they will perform at London's Dublin Castle on March 4.

This marks their first-ever headline tour across Ireland and follows the release of their debut single, 'Roses', on September 17.

"'Roses' is about love turning to spite in a coming-of-age setting," said the band. "The reason it's the opening song in every set is the same reason why it is our first release, it's the perfect introduction to us and sets the tone for what we are and what's to come."

Written initially by vocalist Zoe Jordan after a breakup, 'Roses' began as an acoustic song before growing into a live favourite that the band eventually brought into Camden Studios in Dublin to record. It was produced by the band's own guitarist Jamie Kierans alongside Alessandro Di Camillio.

Before embarking on their tour, the group will also go on their first UK run supporting Dylan Flynn and the Dead Poets.

Formed in late 2024, BABYRAT built their audience through live shows, with performances ranging from local Cork stages to sold-out headline shows in Cork and London and festival appearances such as Electric Picnic. They've also played support slots for artists such as Bell X1, The Coronas and Feeder.
