Kate Nash, Bleech 9:3, Muireann Bradley, Westside Cowboy and more announced for Other Voices Derry

The first list of names headed to Derry this September for the Other Voices festival has been announced.

Kate Nash, Bleech 9:3, Muireann Bradley and Westside Cowboy are among those set to perform, with more to be announced.

This year marks the festival’s 25^th anniversary. It runs from September 25 to 26 at St. Columb’s Hall, where performances will be filmed and streamed on the Other Voices YouTube channel.

Beyond the main stage at St. Columb’s Hall, the Music Trail will take over some of Derry’s other venues for live shows across the city.

Bleech 9:3, Westside Cowboy and Kate Nash are set to play special Music Trail shows alongside their St. Columb’s Hall performances. Falkirk five-piece Brògeal will also take the stage.

Others on the Music Trail lineup are Babyrat, Child of Prague, Mischa and the Bear, Annie-Dog and more.

Making its debut at Other Voices this year is Soundings, “a new ideas and discussion strand bringing together artists, writers, makers, thinkers and community leaders for a series of thoughtful and lively conversations about art, culture and society,” according to a press release.

The lineup for Soundings includes writer and broadcaster Séamas O’Reilly, IFTA-winning screenwriter Ailbhe Keogan, BAFTA-nominated filmmaker and artist Myrid Carten, writer and essayist Darran Anderson and more.

The full line-up and schedule will be revealed in the coming weeks.

Tickets for the headline performances at St. Columb’s Hall will be free thanks to PEACEPLUS Change Maker Funding. Golden tickets for these gigs will be available in the coming weeks on a first-come first-served basis via the Other Voices social channels.
