Über-hip Chicago outfit L'altra make their Irish debut in Whelan's
At last, a new American band to die for who aren't from Detroit or New York. Yup, über-hip Chicago outfit L'altra make their Irish debut next month when they play Whelan's, Dublin (May 7) and Auntie Annie's, Belfast (8).
They're coming armed with a new album, In The Afternoon, which has been variously compared to Low, Mazzy Star and Yo La Tengo. In other words, they have it in 'em to become a complete bunch of cults!
