Kraftwerk to bring 3D show to Dublin and Belfast
The electro pioneers plot a pair of Irish stops next year – with their full bag of visual tricks in tow
Electro pioneers Kraftwerk have announced a pair of Irish shows for next year.
Still trucking down the Autobahn some 46 years after their formation, the band unveiled a 3D retrospective at New York's Museum of Modern Art in 2012, with the performance since getting a runout at London's Tate Modern, the Sydney Opera House and Berlin's Neue National Galerie amongst other locations, so we're rightly pleased they'll be bringing it to our shores for what already promise to be two of the summer's hottest tickets.
Promising a proper Gesamtkunstwerk – which is easy for them to say, though it apparently translates as 'a total work of art' – Herren Hütter, Schmitz, Hilpert und Grieffenhagen will pitch up to the Bord Gais Energy Theatre on June 2, with an appointment at Belfast's Waterfront Hall two days later. Tickets for the shows are priced from €62.50 and £49.00 respectively.
