Dublin-born rapper Kojaque has returned with a video for his new single 'Antihistamine'. It's his first release since 2024's PHANTOM OF THE AFTERS, THE BALLAD OF JACKIE DANDELION (DIRECTORS CUT).
Directed and edited by Kojaque and Robert Bass, the music video stars the rapper wearing a tinfoil hat and a cockroach costume.
In the song, he comments on recent world events, with references to Israel’s genocide in Gaza, the rise of fascism, far-right politics, racism, and the distribution of power in the world. 'Antihistamine' is meant to serve as escape from the current "hellscape," as music and joy are an "act of rebellion", said rapper.
"The last couple years has turned me into a tinfoil hat conspiracy theorist".
"I can’t remember another time in my life that has felt as dystopian as the world we’re in right now," he added.
The video comes out ahead of Kojaque's intimate Dublin gig, set to take place this Friday, March 13 at Workmans. A week later, he will also perform in London on March 19, at Venue MOT, as a part of his mini What's the Mystery? tour.
