Prince was found dead at his home in Paisley Park, Minnesota last month aged 57. No cause of death has been announced however it is now being investigated that the singer died may have died from an overdose of prescription medication.
In the interview Simmons went on to say, ""How pathetic that he killed himself. Don’t kid yourself, that’s what he did. Slowly, I’ll grant you... but that’s what drugs and alcohol is: a slow death". He has since faced criticism online with fans responding to his comments in a rather tongue in cheek manner.

Gene Simmons called Prince's death "pathetic." He then put on facepaint & continued his life as an adult who dresses up as an action figure.

Simmons' views were also shot down his Kiss bandmate, Paul Stanley who said he was "embarrassed" by the "cold clueless" statements and offered his own apology.
