They join a list of eight Irish authors whose novels are among the 154 books nominated for prestigious award.
The work of eight Irish authors has been nominated by libraries as far away as Russia, Malaysia and Canada for the €100,000 International Impac Dublin Literary Award.
Kevin Barry, John Boyne, Sebastian Barry, Paul Callan, Dermot Healy, Christine Dwyer Hickey, Margaret Mazzantini and Patrick Warner all received nomination along with books from America (43), Britain (22), Canada (12), and 42 novels translated into english from 19 other languages.

On Canaan’s Side – Sebastian Barry. Nominated by San Diego Public Library and by Dublin City Public Libraries.

Twice Born – Margaret Mazzantini (Irish/Italian). Nominated by Waterford County Library, and by Biblioteca Nazionale Centrale di Roma, Italy.
Double Talk – Patrick Warner. Nominated by The Provincial Resource Library, St. John’s, Newfoundland, Canada.
