Live show dedicated to Thin Lizzy's Philip Lynott set to take place in Dublin

The Dedication, a live show marking the 40th anniversary of the death of Thin Lizzy frontman Philip Lynott is set for January 4, 2026 at 3Arena, Dublin.
The lineup will include former Thin Lizzy members as well as a variety of surprise guests.
The night is set to kick off with performances from Grand Slam, a rock band formed by Lynott in 1984, Thin Lizzy's Ricky Warwick and Marco Mendoza and Guns N’ Roses' Richard Fortus.
Additionally, the 45 piece RTÉ Concert Orchestra is set to present Thin Lizzy classics followed by a performance from musical Moonlight – The Phil Lynott Enigma star Peter Smith, who plays Lynott.
To end the night, Thin Lizzy's Darren Wharton and Eric Bell will deliver some of the band's greatest hits.
Lynott was the co-founder, lead singer, bassist and principal songwriter of rock band Thin Lizzy; formed in Dublin in 1969.
He died of pneumonia at the age of 36.
"Fans from across the globe are expected to gather for this once-in-a-lifetime celebration of the life, music, and enduring legacy of one of Ireland’s most iconic musicians," according to a statement.
