He named Bon Iver frontman Justin Vernon as the person he admires most in music.

West has collaborated with Vernon in the past, most notably on the track 'Hold My Liquor' from his 2013 album 'Yeezus'. He was talking about his Glastonbury headline spot last year when he made the comment in question.

"I go out and perform 'Hold My Liquor' with Justin Vernon, who is my favourite living artist - I love Justin the way Kanye loves Kanye. So he's got this machine and this little sampler that he uses, and when he gets up there next to me and we're doing 'Hold My Liquor', and I completely forgot the lyrics, we just go off the rails and have a moment of feeling like we're back in the studio, or feeling like we're back in high school."

He also said that Vernon's recent collaboration with the band Francis and the Lights - which he also guests on - was his favourite song of the year.
