Julian Casablancas announces new solo album

Five years on from debut solo outing Phrazes For The Young, Julian Casablancas is ready to leave The Strokes behind once again and this time he's going full-on late 70s/80s NYC punk rock.

The scuzzy teaser (view it below) introduces "Julian Casablancas + The Voidz" and while no release date has been announced, it assures us that it's "coming soon". Casablancas is just one of many acts set to assemble in Texas next week for this year's SXSW festival.
