Jimmy Page says Led Zeppelin would never take plagiarism case
The guitarist says they would never sue another artist
In what sounds like the line to launch a thousand get-rich-quick schemes, Jimmy Page has said that Led Zeppelin would never take a plagiarism case against another artist.
Almost begging for someone to write 'Staircase To Heaven', 'Rumble On' and 'Emmigrant Song', the guitarist told The Telegraph that taking legal action – as was done against them recently – is not something of interest.
“I do know there’s a lot of music where Led Zeppelin has been leant on," he said. "We didn’t do anything about it – and I wouldn’t want to either."
In the interview, he also appeared to underline his intention to return to the live stage soon: “I thought I would be playing by now, but certain things got delayed, other things came in the way. So I’m a little bit behind.”
