James Vincent McMorrow announces new album and Irish dates

James Vincent McMorrow has announced details of his third studio album.
We Move will hit shelves on September 2 – previewed by the single 'Rising Water', which makes its first appearance today and which you can hear below. The follow-up to 2014's Post Tropical, it's an eagerly awaited LP, and will have fans both home and abroad altogether excited.
The accompanying press release offers an idea of what to expect: "Written in constant transition – and recorded between Toronto, Dublin and London – We Move is James Vincent McMorrow’s most expansive, generous and ambitious record to date. There is, on the other hand, something more stripped-back – vulnerable, even – surfacing for the first time: far from the dense, protective imagery at the heart of Post Tropical, We Move is ultimately a record open in its portrait of anxiety and social unease."
With names like Nineteen85 (Drake, DVSN), Two Inch Punch (Sam Smith, Years & Years), and Frank Dukes (Kanye West, Rihanna) involved in production, it looks like being another interesting step in the career of the Dublin-born singer and songwriter – and Irish fans won't have long to wait to catch the new material live, either.
He visits The Black Box in Galway on October 5, followed by a homecoming at the National Stadium, Dublin on October 7 – tickets for both are available from Friday.
