It's official! U2 to headline Glasto.
U2 will headline the Pyramid Stage on Friday night (June 25) at Glastonbury 2010.
According to the festival’s organiser Michael Eavis: "The 26-year-old rumour has finally come true. At last, the biggest band in the world are going to play the best festival in the world! Nothing could be better for our 40th anniversary party. And there are even more surprises in the pipeline..."
This will be the first time U2 have played the festival, although back in February Bono admitted that they would like to play Glastonbury someday.

The Glastonbury gig fills a gap in their North America tour itinerary. On 23 June, the band plays Edmonton while their next scheduled concert was to be 30 June, in East Lansing Michigan.
