A series of cryptic posts have appeared The Beatles social media pages, stirring speculations about a fourth Anthology volume.
The band's website features the back of a canvas with 1-4 flashing in the centre. Similarly, their Facebook post includes a black and white image of each band member with a corresponding 1-4.
Lastly, their Instagram post features the number 1-4 with a Beatles-related photo collage in each number.

With no other hints to go off of, fans began to theorise the meaning of the numbers.
In 1995 and 1996, the Beatles released three Anthology compilations which contained unreleased performance, outtakes, and two new songs based on demo tapes made by John Lennon,'Free as a Bird' and 'Real Love'.
The canvas back, as see on the musicians' website, is the same image featured on the backs of the Anthology albums. Additionally, the collages seen on their Instagram post are the same ones on the covers of the Anthology collections; leading fans to believe that the 4th addition is likely to be announced.
At the time of writing, the Beatles have not confirmed or denied the theory.
