Irish duo Kyoto Love Hotel to perform 'Grow' EP tracks in tonight's livestream
Kyoto Love Hotel consists of Joe Geaney (Floating Ballroom) and Laura Sheary (formerly of Staring at Lakes) from Tipperary. The band formed in 2018 and creates lo-fi dream-pop songs.
Irish electronic act Kyoto Love Hotel have scheduled an Instagram and Facebook livestream tonight, where the pair will perform tracks from their 'Grow' EP, which drops tomorrow (Friday, December 11th).
Through Joe Geaney's evocative melodies and Laura Sheary's introspective lyricism, the band produces a unique blend of reflectiveness and dance-ready alt-pop.
The duo have played numerous shows around Ireland and further afield; from The New Colossus Festival (New York) and Other Voices to Electric Picnic, Output and Whelan's One's to Watch.
Kyoto Love Hotel will release their Grow EP on Bandcamp tomorrow, following the unveiling of 'You Unfold', 'I Float' and 'Machine' as singles in 2020.
Their most immersive and expansive release to date, 'Machine' marked the beginning of a captivating new direction in the Irish electronic pop duo's sound and was recently made a Hot Press Track of the Day.
The pair announced tonight's livestream on their social channels yesterday:
"To mark the release of 'Grow' next week, we're going to be doing a little livestream," the electronic duo wrote on Twitter.
