Indie supergroup The Delines announce Irish tour
It’s indie supergroup time as Richmond Fontaine’s Willy Vlautin and Sean Oldham, The Damnations’ Amy Boone, The Decemberists’ Jenny Conlee and Tucker Jackson of The Minus 5 fame join forces as The Delines for the April 25 release of Colfax.
The accompanying tour includes visits to Cyprus Avenue, Cork (June 2); Errigle Inn, Belfast (3); Whelan’s, Dublin (4); Cleere’s, Kilkenny (5); Dolan’s, Limerick (6) and Roisin Dubh, Galway (7).
“Amy’s voice has always stopped me in my tracks,” Vlautin enthuses. “It’s all heart, beat-up but tough, vulnerable and worn. I’ve always wanted to work with her, so when she gave me the chance I spent a year writing songs for her. I wanted to write songs like her voice: songs that might have a drink in the morning but they still make it to work.”
