Ian Dury exhibition to open in London
A free retrospective of Ian Dury’s work is being held at the Royal College of Art in London where he studied.
The Blockhead-in-chief’s pop art was influenced by his RCA tutor – and later close friend – Sir Peter Blake who reckons he was just as good a painter as he was a musician.
The More Than Fair exhibition has been put together by Dury’s daughter, Jemima, with the help of £6,000’s worth of Kickstarter funding. Also involved in the project is Kosmo Vinyl, The Clash’s wonderfully lippy former PR man. [link]www.rca.ac.uk[/link] has all the details.
