Amble announce new single, EP and biggest Irish show
Listen to the new single below.
Irish folk trio Amble have released the title track to their newly announced EP Hand Me Downs (available September 29) and have shared their largest Irish show to date.
The performance will be held at Virgin Media Park, Cork on June 26.
"Two years to the week since we opened for Crowded House at Virgin Media Park, we’re now headlining it. That’s a sentence we never thought we’d be able to say," said Amble.
The band's previously announced December 4 3Arena show sold out in minutes.
Additionally, they have gigs set for Dublin’s 3Arena on December 11 and Belfast’s SSE Arena on December 10.
The group will also be preforming at Electric Picnic next weekend.
Their upcoming 4-track EP follows the trio's successful debut album Reverie, which was number one on Ireland’s Official Albums Chart for 4 weeks, making it the biggest Irish debut since 2019.
Amble formed in 2022 after Robbie Cunningham, Ross McNerney (mandolin, bouzouki) and Oisin McCaffrey (vocals, guitar) quit their day jobs as school teachers and a data scientist.
Now, the band has more than 115 million streams and 100 thousand headline tickets sold this year.
Tickets for Amble's Dublin, Belfast and Cork shows go on sale Wednesday, August 27.
Their upcoming EP Hand Me Downs is now available for pre-save and can be found here.
