Holmes is where the heart is
David Holmes brings the Free Association to Belfast
Following on from their recent Empire Music Hall sell-out, David Holmes Presents…The Free Association return to Belfast for an April 2 show at The Mandela Hall.
Prior to that, the Hot Press Award-winner throws an Alternative St. Patrick's Day party at London's uber-trendy Atlantic Bar & Grill. Support is provided by Children, DJ Pablo, Seb Chew and Dan Lynwood.
Meanwhile, Holmer has confirmed that he's no longer scoring the George Clooney-directed Confessions Of A Dangerous Mind.
"It didn't really work out," he explains. "I suggested a lot of music for the film and put on a lot of what you call temporary music. And George fell in love with the temp music. It was weird because he was caught up doing so many things that it was hard to get a creative relationship going. When you make a film, you're required to spend a lot of time with the director and that didn't happen."
There's no need to send food parcels just yet though with another of the films he's soundtracked, Analyze That, reaching number two on the U.S. box-office chart.
