Holly Humberstone releases new single 'To Love Somebody' from album Cruel World
Listen to the track below.
English singer-songwriter Holly Humberstone has released 'To love Somebody', her second single from her upcoming album Cruel World, due out April 10. The song follows the delivery of the first single 'Die Happy', released at the end of 2025.
“The record explores love as beautiful and inherently painful,” she said. Cruel World will feature 12 tracks, with more information coming out soon.
'To Love Somebody' was accompanied by a video, directed by Silken Weinberg, also known as Ethel Cain. Inspired by Victorian theatre, Brothers Grimm and Nosferatu, 'To Love Somebody' "is about loving & losing and feeling it all," said Humberstone on Instagram.
Following the release of her debut EP The Walls Are Way Too Thin released in 2021, Holly Humberstone won the BRIT Rising Star in 2022. She went on to release her debut studio album Paint My Bedroom Black in 2023, before joining Sam Fender on his Australian tour the following year.
This February, Holly will tour Europe and the UK, finishing on April 2 at Shepherds Bush in London.
