The actor, who plays Bard of Laketown in The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug, has dedicated the film to the memory of his late co-star.
Luke Evan appears to have finally broken into the big time after years of honing his craft on the stage as a theatre actor. Recent times have seen the actor appear in Hollywood blockbusters such as Clash of the Titans, Robin Hood and Fast And Furious 6, and it was on the latter that he befriended Paul Walker.
“It’s a tragic story, and I’m still trying to come to terms with what has happened,” Evans said. “I'd arrived at LA and was about to do my first event when my publicist took me aside and told me. He really was a stellar guy, just a really lovely person. And if my little dedication keeps his spirit alive for longer, then my job has been done.”
Evan went on to say that the dedication was his way of showing that the actor would always be remembered.
