Hermione Hennessy tops Irish indie chart again
There are also new entries for Bonnie 'Prince' Billy & Julie Feeney.
There’s no change at the top of the Irish indie chart with Hermione Hennessy fending off stiff competition from The Temper Trap and Paul Brady to hang on to the number one spot with Songs My Father Taught Me (H&I Music).
There’s good news too for Two Door Cinema Club whose Tourist History debut (Kitsuné) is up four places to number 5, and Bonnie ‘Prince’ Billy & The Cairo Gang whose The Wonder Show Of The World (Domino) is the week’s highest new entry at 12.
Buoyed by ‘Impossibly Beautiful’ soundtracking the new VHI commercial, Julie Feeney’s Pages (Mittens) re-enters the chart at number 13.
Add in the mainstream top 30 singles success Heathers enjoyed recently when ‘Remember When’ was picked up on by the Irish Tourist Board, and it underlines what music placement can do for emerging artists.
