The Dublin mainstays have decided to part ways as a band after 14 years and two stellar albums.
In a statement released Tuesday on Instagram, Dublin rock band Gypsies on the Autobahn revealed that they have decided to call it a day as a band.
"We started as friends, and we're ending as friends who shared something special for the last 14 years," the statement reads. "We have endless people to thank...but firstly we want to thank you. You made the songs live, you made the years worthwhile and we couldn't be more grateful."
The news comes just 9 months after the release of their critically-acclaimed sophomore album Suspended. They will play a farewell show in Whelan's at an as-yet unannounced date. Whenever it is, it's sure to be an emotional end to an extraordinary journey.
