Joanne McNally to release debut Netflix special

Joanne McNally has signed a deal to release her debut special, Pinotphile, worldwide on Netflix in 2027.

The hour-long show will see McNally speaking about "modern dating stories," including "situationships, revenge, frenemies and rejection," according to an official description.

Filming will take place at Town Hall in New York City as part of the New York Comedy Festival on November 7. Pinotphile will be produced by Matthew Vaughan of Rotten Science alongside Rick Hughes at Off the Kerb.

McNally is currently on the road for her tour of Pinotphile, with two upcoming shows in Cork August 28 and 29. She will also begin her first nationwide US tour in Seattle in September.

This comes following her 2021-2024 tour, The Prosecco Express, which had a record-breaking run of 78 sold-out shows at Vicar Street in Dublin, earning the show Ticketmaster Ireland’s Comedy Event of the Year.

The Irish comedian co-hosts the podcast My Therapist Ghosted Me, which has over 2.5 million listeners each month, alongside Vogue Williams. McNally is also set to join the cast of the next season of BBC One’s Celebrity Traitors.

She began her professional comedy career in 2014, appearing in documentary theatre show Singlehood, which featured her stand-up sets. In 2016, she wrote and starred in Bite Me, her one-woman comedy show about recovering from an eating disorder, which earned multiple nominations at the Dublin Fringe Festival.
